HIGH END 2022 Munich Germany Show Report The highlight of the European calendar and it was great to be back! Show Report By Jason Kennedy

HIGH END 2022 Munich Germany Show Report
The highlight of the European calendar and it was great to be back!
HIGH END 2022 Show Report By Jason Kennedy
There was a palpable sense of relief during HIGH END 2022 in Munich show from exhibitors and visitors alike that the biggest event in Europe was happening again after a three-year break. The organizers initially moved it from May to October last year but when it became clear that the pandemic was not going away they decided to aim for the usual slot this year, thankfully it came good and we didn't even have to wear masks. HIGH END 2022 show exhibitor numbers were down due to restrictions in the Far East but there was still an awful lot to see in the heat of the MOC exhibition center, Munich is often fine at this time of year but 86 degrees in the shade can be a little close in a glass building full of amplifiers and people.

HIGH END 2022 Munich Show Report By Andrija Curkovic Of HiFi Media Magazine

HIGH END 2022 Show Report
High End Society 2022 Munich Germany
Show Report By Andrija Ćurković Of HiFi Media Magazine
After two uneventful years, audiophile caravans have once again moved towards their mecca, Munich, and the high-end show organized by the German HIGH END Society Service GmbH, which has achieved world supremacy over all other hi-fi shows currently being organized in the world. Due to the relative proximity to Zagreb (about 550 km, or 6 hours of driving), my colleague Neven Kos and I chose car transport because we have complete freedom and comfort during the trip, compared to any other form of transport. In the middle of the week there were no traffic jams, and with nice sunny weather we had almost tourist sightseeing scenery while passing through the mountainous regions of Austria and the plains near the Bavarian capital Munich. While we were waiting for the official opening and the beginning of the first day of the show on Thursday, in the lobby of the MOC center we came across the cult car DMC DeLorean....

HIGH END 2022 Show Report -- High End Society Munich Germany -- Show Report By Carlos Martin Schwab

HIGH END 2022 Show Report
High End Society Munich Germany
Show Report By Carlos Martin Schwab
The HIGH END Munich ambassador's press conference, which I attended because I appreciate the choice of Alan Parsons, a famed musician, and producer who does not come from jazz or classical, started badly: it was in German (with poor simultaneous interpretation into English) until Parsons got on stage and asked to continue in English. I asked him his opinion on loudness war, and he replied "I always considered the dynamics in my work. If someone wants to hear louder, just turn up the volume." The Germans have this thing about forgetting that the language of business worldwide is English, but the saddest thing was to start noticing what the press of HIGH END Munich prioritizes since out of more than 400 accredited people, there were no more than 50 people at the conference.

More About HIGH END 2022

HIGH END And International Parts + Supply 2022 Show Report Munich Germany

The HIGH END is the undisputed international leader when it comes to impressively setting the tone for top-class music reproduction. The trade show has been providing ideas and impetus for producers, distributors, sellers and consumers of high-quality consumer electronics for four decades. Each year, representatives from the entire industry convene on four days at the HIGH END in Munich. From leading global players, right down to innovative start-ups, the exhibitors provide solid proof of their innovative verve, which they present to an international public at the HIGH END.

Music Legend Alan Parsons Is Brand Ambassador
The HIGH END SOCIETY is proud to present a world-renowned musician as its new Brand Ambassador for the coming HIGH END 2022. Alan Parsons will be the face of the international hi-fi trade show in the MOC Munich. With this move, the organizer is upholding its theme, launched in 2018, of enlisting a prominent artist to underscore the symbiosis between music and technology. At the HIGH END, over 500 international exhibitors present high-quality products for first-rate sound reproduction.

"Alan Parsons embodies this symbiosis like no other artist", says Stefan Dreischärf, Managing Director of the HIGH END SOCIETY Service GmbH. "With his superb recording technology, he is extraordinarily successful at bringing the magic of his compositions to our living rooms."

Steven Wilson (show ambassador for 2019) and Alan Parsons

As a veritable master of good sound, Alan Parsons has been successful worldwide for decades. Nominated 13 times for a Grammy, in 2018 he received the coveted award for Best Immersive Audio Album.

Parsons, originally from London, launched his career at the famous Abbey Road Studios. Working in the background, he already wrote music history there. Initially, he collaborated as an assistant on the last two albums of the Beatles before becoming known as the sound engineer for the recordings of the epic Pink Floyd Album Dark Side Of The Moon. With the Alan Parsons Project, established in 1975, Parsons went on to become a legend with his own songs. Today, the hymn, "Lucifer" remains the title melody of "Monitor", a political weekly on German television.

Parsons released his studio album, The Secret, and toured America and Europe with the Alan Parsons Live Project. He took to the stage, joined by many other stars, during the successful touring show, Night of the Proms, at the end of 2019. Alan Parsons has lived for many years in his adopted home of California. He will be the featured guest at the HIGH END 2022 in Munich.

ALTI Automotive Audio Conference
May 19th to 22nd, 2022 will bring the first automotive conference of ALTI LLC in Europe. This event will take place simultaneously with IPS – International Parts + Supply 2022 and HIGH END 2022 at the MOC in Munich. Their collective goal is to bring together hi-fi, audio and acoustics experts, automotive manufacturers, suppliers, brands and stakeholders. The conference offers an ideal platform to discuss the latest industry trends, share knowledge and network with like-minded people.

ALTI's inaugural conference in Europe promises to be a major event. ALTI Automotive Audio Conference will be co-locating at the MOC in Munich with the High End Audio Show and the International Parts Supply Show (IPS). The interior of the vehicle is becoming increasingly important. It is very likely that the vehicle interior will be used in a completely different way in the vehicle of tomorrow. People will use the vehicle to enjoy entertainment, play games, watch movies with family and friends via streaming, make video calls, use the vehicle as a mobile office, communicate with their community on social media.

The challenge for OEMs and suppliers is to enable access to rich media content in the vehicle in a safe, user-friendly and secure way, and to achieve flawless image reproduction via displays as well as excellent sound quality. The demands for an excellent sound system will increase and with it the desire for new technologies, such as sound zones and immersive audio. The conference will provide an overview of the advances made in recent years and address many of the new demands in this emerging area of audio technology.

The new ALTI Automotive Audio Conference will provide a forum for professional exchange as well as discussion and presentation of new technologies and processes within the dynamic Automotive Audio industry.
