Massif Audio Cable Lifters

  With deep roots in the furniture industry and appreciation of fine wood, the Massif Audio equipment racks and cable risers have instant appeal. In high end audio we aspire to excellent reproduction of recorded music, but as we progress beyond the entry level visual presentation gains significant importance as our investment rises. Some people may experience audible improvement with the addition of cable risers — keeping the cable away from static electricity in the rug, but even if you don't, risers contribute an element of safety, providing a split second for you to react and restrain yourself from stepping on them.

When your cables range from thousands to tens of thousands of dollars the damage could be significant. Whether constructed from single or multiple species they add an inviting touch of warmth to our cold metal components. They also complement any foliage you may use behind your speakers for aesthetic and acoustic treatment. While the ones pictured here are designed for round cables, a variation with a deep slot or notch for ribbon cables such as those from Nordost could easily be fabricated by Trevor Doyle.

I'm very proud of these fine risers in my reference rig. Prices range from $300 to $400 for a set of six, each of which are 3.75 x 3.75", with pricing depending on species of wood and complexity of construction.
