Munich HIGH END Show Report 2015 Sennheiser's new HD 630VB (€499) was launched here at HIGH END 2015 in Munich and marks the company's introduction of their very first fully closed audiophile headphone model here in Germany. Features include a unique rotary bass dial so you can easily customize the bass response according to your personal preferences. Sennheiser's HD 630VB closed back headphones help insulates the user from ambient noise, so you can better audibly focus on his music instead of outside sound interferences. Developed especially for the HD 630VB, Sennheiser's proprietary high-performance transducer produces a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.08% (at 1 kHz and 100dB sound pressure level at the ear). The coil wire is made from pure aluminum, with an overall impedance as low as 23 Ohms and a frequency response from 10 Hz to 42 kHz. A collapsible design crafted from lightweight materials such as dampened aluminum ensure a comfortable fit and compact storage capability. On the ear cups there are headband sliders to adjust for a snug yet comfortable fit, whilst the ear pads are exchangeable and easy to replace. Featuring a remote control on the right ear cup and a microphone integrated into the OFC cable, you can control music and take phone calls when connected to a smartphone. Naturally i did try them on for size and they did indeed fit fairly well. Plugging them into a music player, it was a bit hard to judge them much as the amplifier system was by T+A and could be their source and amplifier just wasn't up to the task. Will hopefully get another chance to listen to them in better surrounding with equipment I am familiar with. Shows can be a challenging atmosphere, at times, when you are replying on someone else’s' system and music selection.
