Florida Audio Expo 2020 Show
Report
MBL North America, United Home Audio,
And Wireworld Cable
MBL North America makes a return to the Florida Audio Expo with almost the same system as last year. MBL brought out their 101 E MK II Radialstrahler omni-directional loudspeakers ($70,500) that were fed by MBL's Noble Line electronics. This time around sporting all white electronics and speakers in lieu of last year's black and white panda color scheme.
Four N15 mono power amplifiers ($17,800/ea) drove the power hungry 101 E MK II's, controlled by their N11 preamplifier and fed by the N31 DAC / CD player as well as United Home Audio's beautiful Ultima 4 tape deck with connections by WireWorld with their Eclipse Series 8 Cabling. As always, I love the dimensionality and the way this system fills the room.
I attended MBL's late night tape spinning event after hours at the show and it was packed, at times, people even had to line up on the wall as there was no seats open. Very grateful for the people at MBL and United Home Audio as they could have been spending their time after show hours socializing, going out to eat, catching up on sleep, etc. Instead they spent their time entertaining us with a wonderful selection of tapes spun on United Home Audio's gorgeous Ultima 4 tape deck.
