CanJam Singapore 2023 Show Report
Seen here is Chang Cheng Yeong, the proprietor for Nightjar Acoustics and Subtonic, both local companies in Singapore. The former focuses on creating high-performance handcrafted cables while the latter focuses on making cutting-edge artisanal in-ear monitors.
STORM, the first product from Subtonic, stands for Subtonic Opus Reference Monitor. It was designed with the sole purpose of recreating the studio main monitor experience in the in-ear monitors. The drivers used comprise two SLAM woofers, five balanced armature drivers, and two electrostatic drivers, utilizing a true seven-way CTRL crossover that allows the STORM to reproduce reference-level tonality and resolution.
