Spirit, a brand hailed from Turin of Italy, with Andrea Ricci as the designer behind all the products. Andrea set up the company 25 years ago all because of a passion and love for music, and to make products that revolutionize dated designs and also not to compromise the true spirit of high-fidelity sound reproduction.

Seen here, the Sigfrid headphone / speaker hybrid amplifier is designed with an unprecedented effort to bring out the true potential of Spirit's two reference class headphones. They are namely the Valkyria Titanium and Pulsar Aluminum. The Sigfrid has a dual mono circuit design with a filter capacity of 79,200 uF derived from a pool of small and extremely fast capacitors. Two 100-Watt toroidal transformers are used to feed each of the circuits with clean and stable power, and a third transformer is used for all other functions.

A proprietary Harmonia Voltage Amplifier Module works in the amplification section in high voltage mode while two triode tubes are used in the preamplifier section. For purer preservation of the source signals, no OpAmp, and feedback loop are used in the audio circuitry. The cables utilized are no slouch either, the signals are carried by a double-wiring total symmetrical structure consisting of a perimeter braid made from sixteen pure silver cables and a coaxial copper core cable. Only silver tin is used as solder throughout the circuitry.

Two pairs of headphone outputs are supported, with one pair in XLR three-pin and another pair in XLR four-pin configurations. The Sigfrid can also be used as a preamplifier or to drive a small pair of loudspeakers directly from its loudspeakers output, with a max power of 30-Watt on tap.
