Elite Audio Systems In San Francisco

  Elite Audio Systems in San Francisco had CH Precision and Viola gear on active display. The sound was very good the first day of the show and coming back on the last day it sounded even more impressive. Very wide soundstage and relaxing sound. All day listenable, with the smooth sultry signature that makes me wants to start here all day long. Tonal textures were a bit lean yet non-fatiguing in the upper range.

Here's a nice close-up photo of the Viola Concerto amplifier ($22,000). Housed in the same size billet Aluminum chassis as their Crescendo, the Concerto delivers 100 watts @ 8 Ohms and 200 @ 4 Ohms. it uses a choke input power supply whilst it also reduces peak charging currents that are prevalent in capacitor input supplies. This is said to minimize intermodulation distortion on the power supply rails on ground returns. Alas, a reviewer’s job is never done so off to the next room we go.
