Burwell & Sons, Bottlehead And The Tape Project

  Burwell & Sons Loudspeakers Plain Jane two-way beautifully finished wooden loudspeakers ($80,000) with Bottlehead’s Paramount V1.1 amplifier ($525 on up). Always love the Bottlehead room. They also have The Tape Project for reel-to-reel junkies.

The Burwell & Sons Plain Jane HS-003 hornspeaker is built with beautiful 'Mother Of Burls'. This English walnut hornspeakers sounded fast and clean with the Bottlehead amplification. Burwell & Sons have the horns in what they call "Infinity Edge", which is a minor detail change to the front leading edge of the bass horn.

Bottlehead's Paramount V1.1 300B/2A3 monoblock vacuum tube amplifiers is designed for 120VAC mains yet can be ordered for those with 240V. Upgrades available include Bottlehead Power Cord Kit ($158, for 120VAC mains only), Bottlehead Badges at cost ($13.50), and you can order a special limited edition Bottlehead Cap/Hat made from cotton twill in black ($15.99). As for The Tape Project, every audiophile and music lover who dig reel-to-reel should immediately see their site. We're talking nearly direct master tape to R2R recordings. Very limited edition and the sound quality is said to be ultra-super-duper incrediblicious!
