TAVES Consumer Electronics Show 2014 Show Report (Toronto Audio Video Entertainment Show)

ANK is the newly branded version of AudioNoteKits, which is born out of Audio Note in 2004 as the kit division of the company. ANK today offers a complete line of high-end DIY audio based on the Audio Note philosophy. At TAVES 2014 ANK is showing off their just-released gear and some goodies coming in 2015. Their new Mentor pre-amplifier and EL84 single-ended monoblocks produce 11 wpc. Pictured above is a new prototype DAC 4.1x (~$4000)  that is scheduled for released soon.

 

Devine speakers model Soundstage 3 ($12,000) employs a ribbon tweeter and dipole ribbon midrange with special 15" woofer.

 

Reference 3a Semantics Zen large foorstander ($22,000 CAD)uses a new Beryllium tweeter and their specially-designed high-sensitivity, crossoverless midrange/woofer driver. The front-end is eXaSound e22 DAC with Copeland 405a amplifier with KT120 output tubes.
