A bit of history.

  KR Audio Electronics is based out of the Czech Republic and began life with husband and wife team Riccardo and Eunice Kron in producing new vacuum tube amplifiers with a unique twist. Over the years new triode output tubes were developed by this Prague company, including the KR 300B and physically very large T1610, that are featured in many of their products. From classical single-ended amplification to their very new SDi35 integrated stereo amplifier that includes USB input, the company has been steadily moving forward in design and technology. All products are hand-crafted from the basic chassis to the high vacuum machines that enable the hand-blown glass of their tubes and internal wiring. The choice of the artisan work in both metal, glass blowing and design, chemical and electrical designs plus the absolute refusal to use an automatic lines to manufacturer their tubes is perhaps the reason for KR unique high quality. Alas, designer Riccardo passed away a few years ago and Eunice is now the managing director of KR Audio as she continues the legacy that is KR Audio. Over the years the company has earned many award including Best Amplifier Of The Year, Best Tube Amplifier, Best Amp Of The Year and an Enjoy the Music.com Blue Note Award.
