Vasen Street
For over 20 years this Swedish trio has created innovative acoustic music grounded in tradition, but with jazz-inflected verve. Using a variety of instruments, including a 3-rowed chromatic nyckelharpa, viola, and six and-stringed and tenor guitars, Vasen builds a multi-textured sound that has combines baroque contrapuntal harmonic structures with loping and lyrical melodies.

Noelle Hampton
Thin Line
On her second release singer/songwriter Noelle Hampton delivers a CD full of compelling music. Her style combines equal parts of roots rock n' roll with folk/country to create refreshingly tuneful songs. Her nine originals prove that Hampton has a knack for crafting songs with emotional depth and catchy melodies. Nice vocals too....

Trevor Alguire
Thirty Year Run
This Canadian singer/songwriter's latest release serves as a testament to his family's roots. All the songs on this album were inspired by his grandfather's homesteading experiences. Alguire's music has rough-hewn Southern country twang tempered by northern winds and winters. Imagine John Mellencamp with more grime, grit and soul.

Stephen Fearing
The Man Who Married Music
This best-of collection of songs from Stephen Fearing's twenty-year career serves as an excellent introduction to this multiple Juno award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter. Fifteen tunes (with two previously unreleased cuts) show the breadth and variety of Fearing's best work. Fearing successfully combines modern pop production techniques and sounds with folky personal lyrics and arrangements.
