2010
Friday
Tyler Acoustic had their Decade D10 ($13,500) large reference speakers,
which are true D'Appolito design. The drivers are custom made for this design
while the crossover has been specially developed too. Amplification is by Superlative Audio and power conditioning is
from Silver Circle Audio. Really nice sound here.
Audience AdeptRespence power filters uses many caps, high-end power plugs and
more. Quite a few rooms used these devices.
Downstairs at THE Show were many retailers. Seen here is The Music,
kind of an offshoot of Classic Recorders per se, wioth many music titles on vinyl.
pbn Audio was showing the inside of The Sammy loudspeaker ($29,500 per pair). Notice the ridges cut into the 67 layers of 0.75-inch MDF. This is said to add rigidity while also ensuring internal reflections are minimized.
Parts Express is a great resource for DIYers looking for drivers, parts, testing equipment and much more!

A cardioid and figure eight microphone setup
was for VMPS' live versus reproduced demonstration. It was also the launch of
