Conrad-johnson's new ET2 Enhanced Triode Preamplifier ($3500) consists of a single-ended triode voltage stage to a very high current output stage. Tubes used are 8088, the unit has many inputs... all via RCA.

In the ModWright room is their new tube modified Slim devices music server and their LS365 with PS365 external dual-mono power supply ($4995 and $4000). Features are tube rectification, tube regulation, and completely dual mono construction. Rear connections are both single-ended and balanced; with a total of five inputs (four RCA and one set XLR). The phase can be inverted via front panel is via wireless remote.

Pass Labs is on the march with their new dynamic duo of preamplification. Seen here is the XP-10 ($5000) with five inputs, new volume control with high resolution, direct input to inputs via remote, larger power supply... The sister, model XP-20 ($8000) has an outboard power supply.

Harmonix, known for their excellence in cables and accessories, had many of their products o display.

Oracle has completed the circle by now manufacturing their own high output MC cartridge. The Thalia ($1500) ebony wood unit is designed to produce high detail and warmth to balance the Oracle turntable.

Nightingale's new PTS-03 battery-powered preamplifier uses a pair of E88CC vacuum tubes within the analog stage. The batteries feed both the filament and voltage of the tube. Normally, an overnight charge provides 24 hours per charge, yet there is a fast charge circuitry setting to achieve 3 hours of playback in a much shorter charging time. There are five inputs and a set of outputs, with a phonostage being available in the future. Right and left channel volume controls are separate via stepped attenuators. Of note are there are four levels of gain to tune what is necessary to feed the volume control and find the 'sweet spot'.

Furutech has many new power connector products for 2008! Of note are their FI-50 series that includes both male and female power cable end connectors plus matching European wall outlets. Cable connectors feature pure copper conductors, nano-sized ceramic particles for resonance control, and carbon fiber housing. Also of note is the use of non-magnetic stainless steel.
