Shows, VR Enjoyment, And Tech Tales
Editorial By Suave Kajko
Spring is in full bloom and as the temperature continues to climb everyone is beginning to emerge from winter hibernation. And what better way to enjoy spring than by walking to a local record store and sifting for treasures through crates of vinyl or visiting a technology event. Check out ww.recordstoreday.com to learn about the top record stores in your city and hit up www.novo.press to see a list of upcoming technology events. One upcoming technology event I'm looking forward to is called Future World, an event focusing on robotics and artificial intelligence. Check out the preview of this show on page 16.
Spring is a great time to work on a few home improvements and perhaps setting up a new HiFi system is on your wish list. Whether you're about to assemble your very first HiFi system or you're thinking about upgrading an existing one, be sure to check out "Beginner's Guide to Building a HiFi System" on page 19. Once you've decided on the type of component you'll be purchasing, be sure to head over to the Buyer Guide section of www.novo.press where you'll find buying advice for all HiFi categories. Every great home deserves a great sounding music system!
If you've caught the 'VR bug' or love to take your tech wherever you go, you'll have a blast reading Stephanie Greenall's "What's Up With Wearables?" feature on Welcome to NOVO! page 8. And what about
traveling in VR - can you imagine what that would be like? Well, that's exactly what Aaron Binder does in his first feature for NOVO on page 25.
In this spring issue, I'm also overjoyed to welcome three new contributors to the NOVO team. Laura William has an intoxicating passion for all things technology and a knack for connecting with startups and early stage technology companies. She debuts with a new section called "Techtales" in this issue on page 12. Aaron Binder wears a "few different hats" in his professional life and is one of the most exciting people I have met in the VR business. Starting with this issue, Aaron will keep us abreast of the latest developments in the VR industry. And if you think VR is just for gaming, he'll open your eyes to an entirely different world. Kevin Rak is a NOVO
reader-turned-writer and an "music junkie" as he calls himself in his first feature on page 28. He's a musician, enjoys reading and writing about audio and he's got a great love for music. He sent me an article recently, expressing his interest in writing for NOVO, and I enjoyed it so much, we decided to run it in this issue.
Enjoy the warm weather and see you soon!
