Thank you for picking up the latest issue of the
CANADA HiFi magazine! I hope that it will help to ease your winter blues and inspire you to listen to "warm" tunes and watch a few good movies.
Starting things off in this issue, Jeremy Phan looks beyond audio and video, and into the world of the "Hottest New and Emerging Technologies". His article will inform you about some of the latest products such as 3D printers, virtual and augmented reality devices, home automation and other smart, internet-connected products. The "Internet of Things"
(IoT) has officially arrived and we expect some amazing innovations in this area in 2015.
Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Paradigm manufacturing plant in Mississauga, Ontario and witness the production of the brand new Paradigm Prestige Series loudspeakers. My article entitled "Insight into The Making of the Paradigm Prestige Series Speakers" gives you a behind the scenes look at
what's involved in the development and manufacturing of this high performance speaker range. As a Canadian, I'm exceedingly proud that Paradigm produces this new speaker series locally, along with most of its other products.
Jumping over to home video, Malcolm Gomes does a wonderful job of explaining how to make your
TV last as long as possible in his "Helping Your LCD / LED 1V Age Gracefully" feature. A great side benefit of following his simple tips is that you'll get to enjoy a more natural picture.
Rounding out this issue, you'll find reviews of four truly amazing high performance audio and video products.
Till the next time – enjoy your read!
