Computer control for vinyl pressing machine. These are the vinyl formulation pellets that are melted when making a vinyl LP pressing. When you make a record, excess vinyl is squeezed past the 12" size and thus is trimmed off. The machine seen to the left within the above photo regrinds the trimmed off plastic so it can be used once again to make a new vinyl LP. The vinyl pellets go into the black hopper. Then is melted and runs through this metal tubing. Two plates with metal masters press down on the melted vinyl formulation, a label is pressed on and BINGO< you get a shiny new vinyl LP. This is a more modern vinyl pressing machine than the one being used above. This is where they store center labels. The colors, the colors :)
