Seminar: A Journey From Label To Legacy

  Featuring Speaker: Micheal Howe, Vice President, A&R/Client Relations – Inveniem & Chief Archivist – The Prince Estate

Given this show is ultimately about the music, and, as Michael did last year, he will discuss music from his perspective from the content and the label side of the music equation.

Michael will continue his discussion from last year’s RMAF by starting this year’s discussion with his move from Warner Brothers as an A+R Executive to archiving, covering what this move means to Michael and his connection to the content which he calls ‘emotional resonance’ to the music. Michael will entertain the audience discussing his role as the archivist for the Prince estate as well as with the musical/personal relationship Michael enjoyed with Prince. Michael will continue his discussion about what the archival role entails and what the journey from Label to Legacy has meant for him and his connections both to the artist and to the music.
