Kuala Lumpur International AV show is back and better than ever!

  Back after a three years hiatus, KLIAV Show 2022 was highly anticipated by exhibitors, and their response was so great, the organizer had to open an additional floor of rooms at the InterContinental Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The event took place from October 28th through 30th (2022). The exhibition space comprises over four floors of the hotel and was a warm welcome for music lovers in Asia.

First Floor
The first floor comprises three halls and the entry counter for the show. YL Audio's principal James Chin was on the scene to showcase the Lawrence Audio Penguin setup, powered by Absolare amps sourcing audio from a Kronos turntable. Power conditioning is by the locally made Frank Power Bank.

Centre Circle Audio Visual
Centre Circle put together an impressive setup with the Kharma Exquisite Grand 3.0 speaker, powered by Pilium Hercules monoblock power amps, Aries Cerat Impera II pre-amps, and sourcing audio from the VPI Avenger Reference turntable during the demo.

Absolute Sound Distributions
Absolute Sound brings the Scottish brand LINN to its first show in Malaysia at KLIAV 2022. LINN, which is a Scottish audio brand founded in 1973, is here promoting their vintage, limited edition Linn LP12, turntable with modular tone arms and cartridges, explained Steve Croft, Export Sales Manager of LINN.

LINN also unveiled the first demonstration of a network streamer and integrated amplifier, the Majik DSM which has an upgradable, modular ecosystem designed to extend the value of the product with add-in cards to improve audio output. Also shown here were a pair of LINN Akubarik floorstanding speakers, and the range of Akubarik speakers should be coming in 2023 to Malaysia. Absolute Sound is the sole distributor of the LINN brand of products in Malaysia. Their showroom in Hartamas opened the first of November 2022.
