Known for their dynamite home theater setups, the AV Designs room didn't disappoint this year with a fantastic home cinema display from Bryston complete with a JVC big screen projector shooting at full cinema scope.
AV Designs also displayed a hi-fi setup consisting of Bryston components, a Linn LP 12 turntable and speakers by PMC.
The YL Audio room features a truly heavyweight system in terms of performance and price with a system made up of the highly regarded Kronos Pro Turntable connected to its own newly launched Kronos Reference Phono Stage and matching SPC1 Power Supply to form the Kronos Total Analogue Solution hooked up to super high end ZYX Universal Cartridge (the cartridge alone is a whopping $15,000 USD). Amplification is delivered courtesy of Absolare with their Altus preamp mated to a pair of Altus 845 S.E.T monoblocks which drive a pair of beautifully handcrafted Lilium speakers from Italian stalwarts, Sonus Faber. Apologies for photo quality.
The system comprising of Triangle Art equipment and Venture's Xtreme Ultimate speakers was also a crowd puller drawing in a heavy audience with an excellent selection of good music.
Not to be ignored is the beautifully crafted and highly desirable McIntosh System featuring the MA-8900 and MA-252 integrated amplifiers. Also featured were speakers from Opera (Quinta SE TG) and McIntosh (XR 50).
There were many other cool and amazing products on both static and active display throughout the show floor. Another great sight was the beautiful JBL K2 S9900 speaker and Mark Levinson system.
Also on active duty was the Heco Direkt Einklang speakers connected to electronics from Soul Note of Japan. This system drew a lot of interest thanks to the speakers cool retro sport car looks.
