XTZ had local representation and they showed the world's first production runs of XTZ's new home theater system. XTZ M8 LCR speakers and S2 Atmospheres fronted the system with S5 surround speakers with XTZ Sub 3x12 for the low ended. Despite show conditions the system was plenty exciting with clean authoritative bass.
Gryphon was roosting in one of the larger showrooms thanks to WTL Audio. Whilst only the most petite of Gryphon speakers were playing, the Mojo S took command of the medium sized room without breaking a sweat when partnered with the Mirage pre,
Coliseum Reference Amp and Scorpio CD player. The all Gryphon setup really had synergy and music freely flowed into the room. This is also one of the better systems at the show that I had to tear myself away from.
SKY Audio from Singapore had 2 rooms on demo one more lifestyle the other for the more serious music lover. The lifestyle room consists of Taiwanese Divini Audio's Classical 11 slim floorstanders in exquisite white gloss. Source and amplification were from DA&T's QV DAC cum media streamer & Q18 amplifier. Again, the amplification and source in both rooms are Asian manufactured. Could we see a new adoption of Asian Hi-Fi not as budget junk but ultimate expressions of Hi-Fi whilst being pocket
friendly?
SKY Audio's more serious room looks the part for sure! Dynamikks 8.12 loudspeakers are powered by DA&T Class A amplifier with a humble 30 watts.
Source is a Tien Audio Direct Drive Turntable. The vocals particularly shone in this system and was the most budget friendly one that I'd love to have just stayed till the end of the show.
