FIAE 2026 Part 2: Highlights, High-End Audiophile Room Impressions, And
In-Depth Hi-Fi Show Coverage
Clarisys Audio Global
The speakers' high level of detail made it clear how much they reveal about the rest of the system and the room itself. During the demo, people noticed small changes in sound whenever someone moved near the door or the room's conditions shifted. This shows that top-level speakers can create a lifelike experience when properly set up, but they also make any problems in the system or room obvious. Rather than hiding flaws in recordings or equipment, these speakers highlight them, making them best suited to listeners who prioritize a clean, high-quality setup.
House Of Stereo
This impressive sound came from a high-end lineup of equipment, starting with the Estelon Forza loudspeakers, which cost $213,900. Their curved cabinets help reduce resonance, giving the music a natural sense of space and depth. The rest of the system was equally strong, featuring the VPI Titan Direct turntable ($95,000) for analog playback and the T+A SD 3100 Streaming DAC ($39,990) for digital. Accustic Arts supplied the power with their Amp IV and Pre V, which delivered tight, controlled bass and clear sound that kept the music engaging without causing listener fatigue.
Synergistic Research SRX cables and grounding technology, set up on a SolidSteel HW audio rack, pushed the system's performance even higher. This careful arrangement resulted in a very low noise floor, making it easy to hear subtle details and lifelike textures in the midrange and treble. Vocals sounded clear, present, and intimate, and the overall tonal balance was even and enjoyable. This setup set a new standard for sound quality and showed that neutrality and immersion can work together for a true reference-level experience.
Florida International Audio
Expo 2026 After the show, we went out to some of the after-hours events. We went to a rum tasting hosted by Gershman Acoustics and a DJ event by Greg Weaver. After getting our fill of music, we finally had a chance to eat some dinner at the hotel bar. By the time we made it upstairs, it was already after 10:30. We crashed, but not for long.
Alas, the final day of the Florida International Audio Expo coincided with another important event in recent history: the Blizzard of 2026. Many attendees and exhibitors, including us, soon found that their travel plans had become somewhat of a nightmare. Although we were perhaps better than some, unfortunately, Sunday turned into a mad dash to get a flight home. Luckily, I had already covered all the rooms at the show and was ready to fly home anyway.
It was a great show in Tampa this year. Although there might have been slightly fewer rooms, they were laid out much better. The presenters were here to show off their products and genuinely help people. If anything, this year was even better than last year, and more people seemed to flock to find out just how much better.
Dylan and I can't wait to see everyone again at next year's Florida International Audio Expo 2027!
