Sensational Soundscape — Gershman Acoustics, Pass Labs, And LampizatOr At FIAE
2026
The Gershman Acoustics room with Pass Labs amplification and LampizatOr digital front-end at the Florida International Audio Expo (FIAE) 2026 presented a system that felt less like a demo, and more like a living, breathing, live music performance. Longtime Enjoy the Music.com fans know at its heart were the Gershman Acoustics Symphoria floorstanding loudspeakers — $70,000 paired with a LampizatOr digital front end: Horizon 360 DAC — $65,000 and Gulfstream music streamer — $9,600. Amplification came from Pass Labs XP32 preamplifier — $20,000 and Pass Labs X600.8 mono amplifiers — $31,000, with Cardas cabling and power distribution completing the chain. The known component subtotal totaled roughly $195,600 in total.
From the very first notes, my wife/Muse Heather and I agreed the system communicated natural musical talent and showmanship. Voices and acoustic instruments had a natural bloom and tonal weight that never felt exaggerated; timbres were very nicely full and convincing. Surely the LampizatOr Horizon 360 imparted a rich, analog-like texture to digital files while preserving clarity, and the Gulfstream streamer delivered files with accuracy, with a unforced flow that kept the music naturally engaging.
Bass performance was a defining strength of the setup, as was the midrange, and come to think of it, the highs too. Ok, we love the entire system, when can it be delivered? :)
The Symphoria loudspeakers dug deep with authority and control, producing low frequencies that were both powerful and articulate. My wife loves this! Sub-octave information arrived with impact yet remained tightly integrated with the midrange, so rhythm and pace stayed intact even at higher levels. The Pass Labs X600.8 monoblocks supplied the immense necessary current and composure, giving the low end a sense of effortless control.
Cleanliness and resolution were evident without ever becoming clinical. Micro-detail and inner harmonics were naturally present and very enjoyable (I hear you saying "enjoy the music"). The hi-fi stereo system's presentation favored musical coherence over forensic dissection. Transients had a natural leading edge and decay, which made percussion and plucked strings sound immediate and believable. Quiet passages breathed dynamic contrasts, yet still retained emotional weight.
The soundstage was immersive and three-dimensional, with convincing depth and lateral extension. Instruments were placed with clarity and separation, yet the overall image remained cohesive; the room felt more like a single, unified acoustic space rather than a collection of isolated sources. This immersive quality made it easy to lose track of time during long listening stretches, a testament to the system's balance between detail and musical flow. As i said before, my wife Heather loved it!
Synergy between components was a clear takeaway. The LampizatOr Hi-Res Audio front-end streamer / DAC and Pass Labs amplification complemented the Gershman Acoustic loudspeakers' natural voicing, producing a tonal palette that was both refined and robust. For prospective buyers and enthusiasts, the Gershman Acoustics system demonstrated that a combination of depth, control, and musicality is possible given system synergy. Expect a listening experience that rewards both critical and, moreso, casual fun (and dancing to the music) listening. This rig is ideal for Enjoy the Music.com's lovers of deep, authoritative bass and a clean, immersive soundscape that still feels emotionally accessible... plus an overall feeling of live music. As always... enjoy the music!
