Legacy Audio's Complete System

  Legacy Audio makes a return to the Florida Audio Expo this year with a stunning new amplifier to show off. Legacy Audio not only makes products for us audiophiles, they also have their own line of professional audio gear that ranges from giant high quality, high SPL output loudspeakers arrays to small studio monitors and home theater products. Legacy Audio has their own line of electronics for the audiophile, home theater, and professional audio markets as well.

Their new iV-7 power amplifier is a seven-channel amplifier featuring state-of-the-art ICEedge technology. The iV-7 amplifier approaches 80% efficiency while delivering 610 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms all seven channels driven. Peak power from any channel is an impressive 1.2 kW @ 4 Ohm with less than 1% distortion. The great thing about this highly efficient design is you can have a powerful amplifier, yet without the powerful heat output, which is lovely for those who don't want their audio gear acting as glorified space heaters!

Legacy Audio had multiple systems with various configurations at the Florida Audio Expo 2020, with a secondary separate system in the additional small room which I nearly missed. One consisting of the Legacy Aeris loudspeakers in the Walnut/Black Pearl finish ($19,525) that were powered by their new iV-7 multichannel power amplifier ($7350). Preamplification handled by their Wavelet DAC / Pre-amp / Processor / Correction unit ($4950) sporting the Aeris upgrade ($3450). Alternating between the previous system there was the Legacy Focus SE Exotic Cabernet loudspeaker in a high gloss finish ($12,915) also matched with the iV-7 ($7350) and Wavelet ($4950).

Lastly, the additional room hosted a Legacy Studio HD in Natural Sapele Pommele ($1995) with the Legacy Wavelet ($4950) and Legacy Power Bloc 2 ($1800, as reviewed by Rick Becker here), in rotation with the Legacy Calibre XD in the Premium Black Pearl finish ($7375) mated to the Wavelet ($4950).
