CanJam Singapore 2023 Show Report
The SP3000 is still the flagship DAP for A&K, with dual AK4191EQ chipsets to support DSP and quad AK4499EX DACs, it employs the proprietary HEXA-Audio Circuitry structure, creating an independent dual audio circuit design. As a result, the SP300 achieves a signal-to-noise ratio of 130dB, the best from any DAP in the market.
And if the internal audio circuitry is not enough, A&P introduces the SP3000 Copper Limited Edition to up the ante even more. From the world's first use of 904L stainless steel as DAP body material, 99.98% high-purity copper is used for this limited edition SP3000 for its excellent electrical conductivity and shielding properties.
Another new product from the Hi-Fi USB DAC cable product range is the AK HC3. It adopts dual ES9219MQ SABRE HiFi DACs to support not only native DSD256 at 32-bit/384kHz, but also the new MQA 8X rendering. The cable used is dual-shielded to minimize noise and deliver sound closest to the original source.
Woo, the sold-out Odyssey in-ear monitors, a collaboration between Astell & Kern and Empire Ears. This is a new design rather than a rehashed version of another model. The Odyssey features ten drivers per side with a seven-way synX crossover network. Here, you will find dual W9+ Dynamic Subwoofers, one custom 'EMP78' BA driver, quad custom 'EM69' Knowles BA driver, dual electrostatic Sonion tweeters, and one W10 bone conduction driver, what an amazing combination!
Audeze has joined the gaming scene! Well, not really, but only the sound department.
The Maxwell is certainly a versatile gaming headset, it supports PC, XBOX, and PlayStation ultra-low latency wireless gaming with three times the range of traditional 2.4 GHz connectivity. The headset employs the latest 90 mm planar magnetic driver that is three times larger in driver area than other competitors. Patented technologies include Uniforce voice coils, Fluxor magnets, FILTER noise reduction technology and Fazor waveguides. With Bluetooth 5.3, Maxwell enables high-resolution audio up to 24-bit/96kHz and 80+ hours of battery life.
CRBN, Audeze's first foray into electrostatic headphones. The CRBN (pronounced carbon) features a new patent-pending polymer film with suspended carbon nanotubes to eliminate problems commonly found in older electrostatic designs.
The MM-500 from the Mm Series, tools designed for the passionate creators. MM stands for Manny Marroquin, a recording engineer highly sought after in the music industry who has collected 14 Grammy Awards. Coincidently, the MM series is also the collaboration between Audeze and Manny. MM-500 seen here is a purpose-built tool designed to deliver studio class mixes.
