At Fidelis Music Systems, a USA distributor and retailer, they strive to transcend the ordinary by showcasing truly high-end products at AXPONA 2016 in room 336. It all comes down to superior audio, and Fidelis has a longstanding reputation for delivering some of the best sounds into your home. During AXPONA you can hear the impressive Acoustic Signature Thunder ($10,995) that features their revolutionary Silencer Platter 3 design. The Thunder is designed and built for exceptional music reproduction and said to outperform turntables costing much more. A 70mm solid aluminum chassis forms the base of the turntable, on which up to three arm attachments can be fitted for either 9" or 12" tonearms. The 50mm thick platter is driven by its remotely sited motor and AlphaDIG electronic control offers a perfect supply to the motor. The turntable base has been designed for optimum stability; the large footprint of the table generates more stability, to increase the weight concentration at the base of the turntable. The Thunder is engineered to provide exceptional sound, but its form is also attractively contemporary.
At AXPONA 2016, Fidelis will have it fitted with the Acoustic Signature 12" TA 5000 tonearm. An innovative arm tube concept combined with pre-tensioned hybrid bearings ensure that the TA-5000 is a perfect host for any cartridge mounted. The TA-5000 will perfectly guide the cartridge in the groove. Enjoy the Music.com's reviewer said, "Bottom line is that I must admit that the Thunder turntable with three motors is an amazing bit of analog kit. It combines the best qualities of idler turntables and mass-loaders. It delivers vivid, dynamic, precise, and rich sound. Such a set of qualities rarely describes a single device. It is quite expensive ticket to high-end audio world, but a real one worth your time and consideration. " You can read our full review of the Acoustic Signature Thunder at this link.
