Audio Research relied on the VPI Super Scoutmaster for analog duties. Did i mention the new HD disc format has no solid high-definition audio format set in stone that should obviously be better
than currently available formats?
Spiral Groove, a new company, has their SG1 ($20,000 without arm) uses a bayonet mount for the tonearm so interchanging arms/base is extremely easy. An inverted sapphire disc and ceramic ball are employed for the bearing.
Just another turntable, though this time in the Ridley Audio room.
Magico had their Mini ($22,000 with stand) stand-mounted loudspeakers.
When car audio and tube amplification mix, Butler Audio has been offering tube car audio units for over a decade. These amplifiers are, from left to right, the 575 five-channel of 75 watts, two channels of 150 watts, and two channel of 75 watts.
Loricraft, yes the Garrard guys, had their PRC6 ($3,995) record cleaner. It has the most powerful pump they have ever offered. It is 'industrial strength.' Though the cleaner is strong, it is amazingly quiet. No more super loud vacuum cleaner sound.
Blue Pearl's Jem ($82,000 including Graham arm) is a solid granite base and stand. The bearing is magnetic, and i asked what makes it so special. The company owner has wonderful humor as he said, "Well, it sounds reasonable."
