audioVideo High End Home Entertainment were showing the Monster Cable line of products.
Monster Cable's new Sigma Retro loudspeaker cable (R$11,000) features multi-strand/balanced construction with different "networks" for various audio frequencies. It is made of 99.999% pure copper while the end connector spades are platinum covered and cold-welded. Besides audio and video cables, they are also selling NiMH 1,800 mAh "AA" rechargeable batteries! Naturally the usual assortment of connectors, splitters and mounting brackets were also on display.
Those who desire home wide audio and video distribution may choose the Russound line of products as represented by Marco Aurélio Versolla. Seen here is their PR-4Z ($3,000 USD) audio/video processor main controller (top) while the CP-4.6 ($3,500 USD) is below. In white at the bottom of this photo are the in-wall selector units so each room can easily choose sources.
Also represented by the same company are the KEF line of loudspeakers as pictured here are their new Q9c center channel, Q3, Q5, and Q7 floorstanders (from left to right respectively). The new Q series has the new dual-concentric aluminum dome tweeter/poly midrange unit. KEF has also proudly brought back their oval woofer driver as last seen in new products well over a decade ago (upgraded version in the new units of course; as seen below in the Q7).
Lastly, as represented by Marco Aurélio Versolla, is the Proceed AP audio/video pre-amplifier ($7,190 USD). With surround sound decoding capabilities including DTS and Dolby Digital, it can also provide normal stereo pre-amplification duties. Below the silverish pre-amplifier is Proceed's AMP5THX approved five-channel amplifier ($7,190 USD). It produces 125 watts into all five channels into 8 ohms, doubling to 250 when driving a 4-ohm load.
