The Association Of International Audiophile Publications

(June 07, 2022) Enjoy the Music.com, high-end audio's celebrated site for over 26 years and a leader in providing premium audio and music industry news, hardware reviews, and show reports, is pleased to announce that we're a Founding Member of the Association Of International Audiophile Publications (AIAP). The AIAP is a voluntary professional organization composed of high-end audio and video publishers from around the world. Framed in 2021, and officially launched in 2022, the AIAP has established an agreed ethical and professional set of principles to which all signatories have committed themselves.

The AIAP is composed initially of ten audiophile publications from around the world, all dedicated to a set of ethical and professional standards. These have been organized as a Statement of Principles (PDF), which the founding member publications have all agree to adhere to as guidelines for ethical and professional operations at their publications. This statement is available as a download in three languages including English, Polish, and Croatian, at the AIAP Web site.

The AIAP was established by a group of ten member publications that are designated as Founding Publications. They are identified with logos at the AIAP site. Additionally, all AIAP members receive and may publish the official logo of the AIAP on their sites as they see fit. If a publication is listed here, and has our logo online, then they have signified their agreement with our standards. Operationally, it is a collection of equals, a kind of "Knights of the Round Table" for its participants. Any decision-making involved is by the development of consensus and general agreement. That is how, for example, we all helped to create the principles that we are agreed upon and have published.

All members of the AIAP are committed to providing the best in high-end audio/video journalism, and are pledged to do so according to our mutually agreed Statement of Principles. We invite audiophiles and videophiles everywhere to go to our site and read our statement for themselves.

Note that the AIAP is not a regulatory group, nor an ombudsmen organization. It is rather a confederation of independent publications with agreed principles. Beyond that, each publication is free to pursue its own operations. Anyone wishing to contact a particular publication can do so via the site links that we list on the AIAP site, and use the resources available there. Therefore, readers here should consider the AIAP to be a 'read only' site, serving mainly to inform audiophiles and videophiles of our standards, and to list our member magazines.

Readers are invited to visit the AIAP member sites and use the communication tools there to pursue questions or email any of our member publications. The Contact Us form on AIAP will send a direct email to Dr. David W. Robinson of Positive Feedback, who acts as Coordinator for the AIAP.
