July 2012
Wow, how did July suddenly creep up on me?!?! Hmmm, there was the Salon Son & Image de Montreal and then April's Review Magazine followed by the New York City Audio & AV Show report. Of course before one is able to catch their breath the May Review Magazine was posted.. and then BOOM Germany's High End Society event. Of course the June Review Magazine made it to cyberprint and off i go to cover T.H.E. Show Newport Beach literally two days later. Since T.H.E. Show ended June 3rd, one would think it was time for a well-earned holiday. Of course not as many face-to-face meetings, phone calls, e-mails, etc grew into the now-enormous $89,750 High-End Audio Contest with over 40 manufacturers as organized by Enjoy the Music.com. First and foremost, we all owe a most humble thanks to all manufacturers and distributors who are taking part in the contest. Prizes are provided by leading high-end audio companies including Aaron, Acoustic Sciences Corporation (ASC), Antelope Audio, Anthony Gallo Acoustics, Audience AV, Audioengine, Audio Fidelity, Audio Nemesis, Audyssey, Axiom Audio, Boston Audio Design, CA Electronics, Emerald Physics, Emotive, Epiphany Acoustics, Everything But The Box, GIK Acoustics, Gingko Audio, Grado Labs, HDtracks, HiDiamond Cable, HIFIMAN, Kimber Kable, Kubala-Sosna, Michael Green Audio, MIT Cables, ModWright, Ologe Acoustics, Practical Devices, Purist Audio Design, Redgum Audio, Serene Audio, Skogrand Cables, Sonic Studios, Soundmatters, Spin Clean, Stahl~Tek, Synergistic Research, Trends Audio, Triode Wire Labs, Von Schweikert Audio, WireWorld Cable, and Wyred 4 Sound. It is wonderful to have such an abundant contest where you have a chance to win one of many truly great high-end audio products! At the same time, this gives you a chance to share with others your joy of music through high-end audio gear. Come 'High 5' us on Twitter and Facebook , then share the contest post with all your friends online. As it says on the contest page, "This exciting contest is aimed squarely at the growing number of music enthusiasts who realize that popular MP3 music files simply can't deliver the full sonic potential of today's best artists. The contest isn't just about prizes, either, as it is equally aimed at helping you find out the real benefits of high-end audio products". And this is where you come in. We all know our industry is filled with great products and people, yet high-end audio simply does not have the vast resources to compete with the advertising budgets of certain mainstream consumer electronics manufacturers. As such, we can all work together and help promote this contest, which in turn should pique the interest of music lovers who want to have the very best musical experience. Mainstream companies have helped in showing that if you pay a bit more, you get better quality. With high-end audio, we extend that thought as music lovers may choose to invest more for their home and/or portable systems to further enhance their music systems to achieve higher sound quality. So i say again, please come 'High 5' us on Twitter and Facebook, then share the contest post with all your friends online. Of course there is also the Share This link at the top of most web pages on Enjoy the Music.com so that you can share a page with others via e-mail, blogger, social networks, etc. Make your discussion board friends happy and let them know about all the great prizes they could win too! Before i forget, there was also our Lone Star Audio Fest report in the past month! Of course in the end what really matters is that you...
