From The Editor... Music And Sports

  A month filled with music and sports... This month football history is written. Our representation opens the World Championship with a game against the host, Brazil. For most Croats, this is the second most important thing in their lives. The only thing better could be winning it. There is a culmination of annual music activities this month also, which is brought by the top rock artists (Queens Of The Stone Age, The Black Keys, Pixies, MGMT, Foals...) and jazz artists (Carla Bley Trio and Dee Dee Bridgewater).

We believe that many of you will find yourselves in the spectacles mentioned above, and that you will have a great amount of fun attending them. Be certain that we will also participate in the events. But, before everything starts, we would like to remind you of our colleagues that, unfortunately, are no more among us, but would be thrilled to participate at such happenings.

It's about Darko Glavan and Dražen Vrdoljak, the fathers of Croatian rock critic, our friends and coworkers from whom we all have learned what good music really is. If you are reading this somewhere up there, know that you are missed by many.

Taking back to the current subjects, we are very pleased that you have continued on reading our magazine, and we hope that your trust is maintained with good articles.

In this issue we have prepared something for everybody. We highlight the test of Samsung curved Ultra HDTV, the powerful Musical Fidelity integrated amplifier, a large amount of rock reviews and a review of a man behind most of the Marvel's heroes - Stan Lee.
