Questyle's Great Gear @ CAS 2014
Questyle's great gear and Audeze's LCD-3 plus Sennheiser HD-800 were here for you to enjoy at CAS 2014. Their CMA-800R headphone amplifier supports fully balanced 'phones, has switchable RCA/XLR inputs, and has a frequency response from DC to an outstanding 650 kHz (-3dB). For DAC duties, Questyle's CAS192D ($1499) is a true DSD unit, handles 192kHz/24-bit, and has three asynchronous USB inputs plus dual clock upsampling. The chip used in the WM8741 for those of you who are curious. If you like wireless, Questyle's T2 and R200 ($799 each) operate at 5.2/5.8 MHz and provide lossless 192kHz/24-bit signal transmission. The T2 transmitter/DAC can send a signal over 160 feet to the R200 receiver, which has a 200 wpc stereo amplifier built-in.
