Part 4... The Second Floor Booths And Rooms

  Sunday morning was like an early fall day, on the cool side with an early morning rain, but nothing to deter the faithful from coming to enjoy the show. I downed my breakfast food, packed my bags, and cleared out of the room so I could work the second half of the show without interruption.

The second floor had a mix of enclosed rooms as well as booths at tables positioned around an atrium that was open to the Lobby Level below. Some of those rooms were converted sleeping rooms like the floors above, and some were conference or meeting rooms that ranged in size from small to large. You could take either the stairs or the elevators to reach the Lobby Level; at different times throughout the show, I took either one.

The Booths
Starting clockwise from the top of the stairs as I recall from my photos, which is different than the map in the program. I think there was some table swapping going on, but I could be wrong.

Anne Bisson
I caught Anne Bisson and her husband Daniel Jacques at this table where they were prepared to offer a listen to her many records. Look at that blue anodized reel of 1/4" tape for those who can afford to delve back into reel-to-reel tape recordings. I would have asked them to turn around and face the light in the Atrium for a better photo, but I left my drone at home.

FiiO, Forte Art & Music, And iFi Audio
FiiO, iFi Audio, and Fidelio Music teamed up at this table.

Like a large over-the-ear hearing aid, these look like Bluetooth receivers to convert your IEM to Bluetooth us... at a Show Special price.

Audio Technica
Audio Technica had a wide variety of their products on display. The white posters listed Show Special pricing for all the products.

Audio Sensibility
In addition to standard audiophile cables Audio Sensibility is a rare source for niche cable products like unusual adapters. I've reviewed many of their products since the inception of the company and always found them to be of very high value. Show Special pricing on much of their product should still be in effect for a while. Note several boxes of audiophile LPs that Steven usually brings along to shows and the Sbooster aftermarket linear power supplies he sells.

I had to drop back several times to catch Steven Huang when he wasn't educating customers. He proudly displayed his new Signature SE power cable with 11awg OCC copper and a filter box containing proprietary OCC silver Bybee Quantum Purification technology — plus a lot more technology you can read about on their website. Look for a review of this cable early next year.

His wife insists on taking a shot of us together every year... happy to oblige.
