Toronto Audiofest 2023 Show Report
As I started to browse the booths on the walkway surrounding the Atrium on the 2nd Floor, I faintly heard a sound. It grew louder. Wait! Can it be? Yes... it was Lyle Lovett singing... " -- "Church" by Lyle Lovett
So after returning to my room and setting up my batteries to be recharged, I headed off to the Industry Standing Dinner sponsored by Enjoy The Music.com and PMA Magazine (Power of Music and Audio).
I picked up my ticket for the beverage included with the meal and surveyed the selection of bottled beers, honing in on the Peroni from Italy. It was a good choice... a nice lager.
People started filling the hallway among the tall tables.
Show organizer Michel Plante was chatting it up with jazz singer, songwriter, and pianist Anne Bisson. Sarah Tremblay, the executive director of the show, enjoys a moment with John Seitz, the logistics director of Audiofest.ca.
Jacques Reindeau of Oracle Audio and Stephane Hautcoeur of Eon Art opted for wine.
Individual servings of various items were set out for people to select. Above was a couscous, feta, and grilled vegetable salad.
There were rumored to have been servings of beef, but I happily settled on several of the Seafood Marinara with basil, leeks on risoni with garlic croutons and pecorino.
