Aurum Cantus, Wells Audio, Music Vault And Dana Cables

Aurum Cantus, which is distributed by Audiophile-Direct, was showcasing their Melody M-102SE three-way floorstanding tower speakers, Wells Audio electronics, and Dana Cables during T.H.E. Show Newport 2016. Starting with the speakers and working our way back through the system, the Melody M-102SE ($2500 per pair) use a pure aluminum ribbon tweeter mated with an AC120/DC50CK 5" composite cone with Faraday ring midrange and AC200/DC50C2C 8" sandwich cone with Faraday ring woofer. With a Hi-Res Audio frequency response from 32Hz to 40kHz, i was very impressed with the sound of this system! But i don't want to get ahead of things here so let's see what else is within the system first.

Wells Audio Majestic integrated amplifier fed the speakers with 150 watts @ 8 Ohms ($3499) Sound Science Music Vault Diamond music server w/16GB RAM and 500GB solid-state HD ($4995) and a well-selected variety of Dana Cables including their 2.5-meter Onyx II bi-wire speaker cables($1195), 1-meter Sapphire Reference interconnects ($695) and 1-meter Pure Stream digital coax cable ($795) kept everything singing. An OPPO BDP-95 Blu-ray player also filled in as needed.

Our love for Wells Audio and Dana Cables is well-documented (Wells Audio Innamorata Signature Amplifier is here and simply type in Dana Cables within our homepage search box as we have three reviews).

Wells Audio Majestic integrated amplifier is relatively low cost for high-end audio yet is designed and built to extremely high standards. This powerful 150 Watts @ 8 Ohms unit truly delivers high performance while providing five inputs (one pair XLR), has a sexy front-mounted volumeter, and even comes with a remote control for muting or adjusting your volume.

My listening notes say the music sounded very smooth and all day listenable. It is the type of sound you can sit back, relax and bask within the lovingly transparent highs and soothing deep bass as the midrange washes over your soul. Deeee-lish! And considering the very reasonable price of the powerful Wells Audio Majestic integrated amplifier, excellent quality Melody M-102SE three-way floorstanding tower speakers and superb Dana Cables... this is a great combo!
