Beach 2015 Report While the great folks at Audioengine had nothing new at T.H.E. Show Newport 2015, this is actually a good thing as their lineup is quite impressive. Audioengine had their B2 self-powered Bluetooth speaker, W3 wireless audio transmitter system and of course their A2+ and A5+ self-powered speakers. As one of the very first reviewers to have their A5 speaker way back in 2006, they have improved them with the A5+. Having heard both, i always come away impressed by the high value for the money Audioengine speakers provide. My wife and i enjoy the A5+ mated to Audioengine's S8 powered subwoofer with our bathroom and bedroom. Yes, you read that right, we have subwoofers, too, within the bathroom and bedroom! Originally simply had the A5+, yet my wife Heather insisted on the subs and she way right! It's not that you need subwoofers per se with the A5+, yet during dance, dubstep, etc music the subwoofer really adds that extra bump.
The B2 Bluetooth speakers, which is here yet never formally reviewed, it a single enclosure version of Audioengine's A2+. Heather is asking me to put it within the laundry room. Note to Heather, yes dear i'll find a way to hang it on the concrete wall. Now where are those blue screws made for concrete? Ah yes, in the third drawer down within my massive Craftsmen two-piece rolling storage unit. Seen here is Brady proudly holding their new B2 Bluetooth powered speaker and Morgan of Audioengine.
As for how the Audioengine products sound, check out Enjoy the Music.com's review of their original A5, the smaller A2 powered speakers, and D2 24-bit wireless DAC.
