HIGH END 2016 Opening

  Welcome one and all to Enjoy the Music.com's 16th annual HIGH END show from Germany. What started out as a relatively humble event in Frankfurt in 2000 has now evolved into one of, if not the world's largest high-end audio event of the year! So how big are we talkin' 'bout? How does 500 exhibit spaces, many thousands of equipment manufacturers, and probably hundreds of millions in audio gear.

Taking place at the massive M.O.C. (Munich Convention Center), the weather was spectacular yet who cares as the goodies were inside to be seen and heard! Before you walk into the venue on opening day, you can't help but see this extremely large balloon-like structure that seems to float above the driveway. How large a balloon you ask? Take a look at the people standing below to the left to get some perspective, with an AVIS moving truck on the right just to prove the point.

Being an audiophile and music lover's event, there were many live performances. Before HIGH END 2016 opened, outside was a gloriously acoustic band that brought joy and fun to your heart. Well, enough with my opening comments, let's get inside the M.O.C. to hear all the great gear at the 2016 HIGH END show in Munich.
