Egglestonworks And Rogue Audio

Egglestonworks room here at HIGH END 2016 had Luxman for digital front end, two turntables, and the Rogue Audio for amplification. EglestonWorks' Savoy Signature is so impressive that the company's products have found a place within several mastering studios throughout the world. The company's design philosophy has always highlighted two main areas as the most important for any loudspeaker: accuracy and musicality. EgglstonWorks feels that the Savoy Signature exemplifies this better than any other product in its class. A 1" dome tweter is mated with a [air of 6" carbon fiber cone midrange drivers and dual 6" carbon fiber cones in isobaric loading configuration. Stacked dual, four total, 12" poly cones in isobaric loading configuration fil in the lowermost frequencies. Producing an ultra-wide frequency response from 18Hz to 24kHz, efficiency is 87dB/W/m.

Rogue Audio Conus Magnum II vacuum tube integrated amplifier continues the company's excellence in delivering great-sounding audio. This integrated unit mates a triode preamplifier to Rogue Audio's excellent Atlas Magnum power amplifier. A large oversized linear power supply stores tremendous energy for low frequency response and dynamic headroom. The tube circuitry has a very short signal path combined with a very low noise design. Rogue Audio's Conus Magnum II vacuum tube integrated amplifier produces 100 WPC using two 12AX7, three 12AU7, and four KT120 for output tubes. Both the analog input and loudspeaker binding posts are gold plated, there are four inputs (phono, line 1, 2, 3) and a 44dB gain phono input. Personal music lovers rejoice as there is a 1W output headphone amplifier too! Analog lovers rejoice as they had not one, but two great turntables by AnalogueWorks within the room. Sweet!

My listening notes say this room had fast, clean, and wonderfully full bass. Very tight and tuneful, with extended highs. Wish there was more time to say and enjoy the music, yet HIGH END 2016 is enormous and had to carry on for more show coverage. Sometimes being a photojournalist has drawbacks. Anyone reading this know a way to alter time/space? If so, lemme know.
