Munich HIGH END Show Report 2015 Argento Audio is here at HIGH END 2015 in Munich launching a new cable for those who use a high-end DAC that uses a separate world clock. Argento Audio's Flow Clocking cable uses BNC on both ends for precision 75 Ohm signal transmission. The key element, according to the company's Chief Designer, is the porous fiber of the natural insulation used around the conductors. The pure silver center conductor is surrounded by PTFE, yet is not within direct contact of the conductor. Tolerance is incredibly hard to get right, and why it took quite a bit of time, effort and development work to bring the Argento Audio Flow Clocking cable to market. There is no metal within the shielding; instead opting for advanced carbon fiber that still transmits the signal yet without time smearing electrical reflection. Pricing is $3300 for one meter length. The center pin is also made with pure silver. Urik Madsen is seen here holding Argento Audio’s Flow Clock cable. Also of note is that they make their own connectors. Seen here is their DIN tonearm cable ($7500 for 1.2 meter length). For those seeking excellence in tonearm cable, their DIN tonearm cable is a very high-end design to ensure top-quality signal transfer from the tonearm to your phonostage. Argento Audio also offers professional cables including balanced XLR female sockets. The Tru-Socket XLR is a female design for mounting on a chassis and is said to be the only one that employs pure silver contacts and set screw connection.
