AGD Showcases Modern Innovations At FIAE 2024
GaN technology was on full display here in Tampa.
Florida International Audio Expo 2024 Show Report By Steven R. Rochlin

  Will cut to the chase right up front and say that many attendees I spoke with had very high praise for Alberto Guerra's AGD exhibit room during the Florida International Audio Expo 2024. AGD's very innovative use of GaN technology was on full display, both sight and sound. Alberto's passion for both music and electrical engineering is what brought him to create AGD Productions, and in Tampa his featured products that earned many awards over the years were on full display.

The GaN transistor-based tubes are the star of their amplification products, and while I could type detail after details about them, here's a selection of links to our reviews:

I'll assume you read a couple of the links above, as then you'd realize these are some seriously special audio amplification devices. Modern times bring modern solutions, and when Alberto sets his mind to accomplish something, we know it'll be an audio product that is truly special. With the tech details and pricing out of the way, let's get to what truly matters, the music! Whatever you do, don't let the size of these stand-mounted loudspeakers fool you, as they can create sound far larger than you'd expect!

In fact The Absolute Sound's Andrew Quint and Alan Taffel said that the Ocean Way Audio Eureka loudspeakers ($12,000) were producing "a sound that had remarkable ease and clarity". Have to very much agree with Andrew and Alan, though would add there was a remarkable sense of depth and imaging too.

AGD Productions once again proves that high technology brings state-of-the-art performance, and that creative thinking brings us new solutions. Great gear, spectacular sound! As always, enjoy the music.
