TriangleArt's Terrific Sound @ FLAX 2023
By now virtually every longtime audiophile and music gear lover knows of Triangle Art. Headed by the charismatic Tom Vu, their team includes DR. Khoi Tran as an engineer, Gustavo Gonzales for programmer engineering, and Roberto Lambert who is an excellent machinist. According to the company, "The principle design philosophy at TriangleArt has always been a "think it out" approach combined with continual refinement. At TriangleArt constant innovation, and the use of the highest quality materials, combined with precision manufacturing techniques and technology result in truly 'High End Products, Made in USA'." All products are designed by Tom Vu, his engineering consultant Dr. Khoi Tran and the rest of the TriangleArt team.
With that said, this was one of my fave rooms during the Florida International Audio Expo 2023. Tom is always warm and welcoming, and the gear looks ultra-fi high-end luxury for your home. By studying natural sound reproduction, Triangle Art's team works with different aerospace alloy materials and learned how to combine brass, copper, and stainless steel alloys to create composite metal materials that are used in manufacturing all TriangleArt turntables. Here's another great American success story since all products are made in-house at their Anaheim (CA) manufacturing facility.

Yes, I tend to be a big fan of point-source and horn loudspeakers, as to my ears they have an inherent design advantage of sorts over some other designs (note to self: all generalizations are wrong Steven, there are always exceptions to the rule). My slight bias aside, when you have a truly epic analog setup that feeds top-quality electronics, which in turn send sound to horn speakers you know to get ready for a very special experience.
Here at FLAX 2023 in Tampa TriangleArt had one of the best-sounding all analog setups. Perhaps it was all the mirror-polished black and glorious gold, yet the visuals equaled the aural experience. The sound was smooth, very analog-like, and gave a great sense of emotional connection.
Between the vinyl, vacuum tubes, and horn speakers, it was a feast for the ears! This room earned my Best Of FLAX 2023 Award. Bravo Tom Vu and team, and thanks for the magical music experience.
