Florida Audio Expo 2020 Show
Report
Mc Audiotech, Linear Tube Audio, Audience, Wolf Audio Systems, And Symposium
Within Mark Conti's MC Audiotech room at Florida Audio Expo 2020 was their innovative Forty-10 loudspeaker ($35,000 per pair) that includes an electronic crossover to ensure precise frequency split between the drivers. With each enclosure of this two-way being independent, the stylish upper frequency array is loaded with proprietary transducers (drivers). For bass, a specially-developed Folded Cube enclosure internally holds a pair of hi-sensitivity cone drivers. The crossover is adjustable to provide ease of integration into virtually any room. An optional low-frequency amplifier is offered.
MC Audiotech's speakers were mated with Linear Tube Audio's excellent MicroZOTL Preamplifier ($4450), ZOTL Ultralinear Amplifier ($6800), which in turn fed their Reference 40 amplifier ($6800). Wolf Audio System's Alpha 3 Music Server ($6895) provided hour after hours of tunes, with cabling being Audience AU24 SX series ($8000). The gear was placed upon Symposium's sturdy Foundation Rack / Ultra Platform ($3600).
My listening notes say, "Mc Audiotech's room has a great pair of sweet speakers that are both spiked and decoupled. The sound is incredibly vibrant, with precise soundscape of each musical instrument and the performance hall. One of my faves of the show due to being all day listenabe."
