Integrity Sound
MartinLogan, McIntosh, Pro-Ject, And Auralex
Report By Steven R. Rochlin

Integrity Sound MartinLogan, McIntosh, Pro-Ject, And Auralex At FLAX 2020

My Muse / wife Heather loves McIntosh audio gear. It's a combination of the sound, and glowing blue meters visual styling, that brings love into her warm heart. On the other hand, if you want to make my Muse angry, go ahead and turn off those glorious McIntosh Lab amp's blue lights and get ready to see the other side of her emotions. Integrity Sound brought together some amazing products here at the Florida Audio Expo 2020!

Starting with the speakers, MartinLogan Impression 11A ($10,000 per pair) handled bass to highs, while the MartinLogan Balanced Force 210 subwoofer ($3500) brings in the boom! McIntosh's MA352 integrated amplifier ($6500) and MPC500 power controller ($2500) were joined by Pro-Ject's Pre-Box 52 ($400 for digital source. Analog lovers cherish, and Heather keeps begging me to get, the McIntosh MT5 Turntable ($6500). Other source gear included McIntosh's MCT500 CD/SACD transport ($5000), and McIntosh MTI100 integrated turntable ($6500).

Thank you exhibitors for finally waking up and using proper room acoustic devices! Can not stress enough how many exhibit rooms greatly benefit from such devices, as does your home (you do use proper acoustic treatment within your listening room, right?). The Auralex Acoustic Panels that Integrity Sound was using cost $2000. Obviously pricing is more or less depending on how much acoustic treatment you need within your room.

The sound was fast, "wicked fast" as my New England fiends would say. Those MartinLogan panels are silky smooth top to bottom (around 200Hz on up). Then comes the well-integrated woofer, with the active (separate) subwoofer bringing on the delightfully deep vibes. Imaging is always a joy with MartinLogan speakers too. Anyone who has heard McIntosh Labs gear over the past many decades, you already know. Great sound, top shelf build quality, and superb sound! Integrity Sound, different than South Park's 'Tegrity product, yet both bring immense customer satisfaction.
