I sure wish the Beanstalk crew of Ben Huffman, Thomas Sullivan, and Katie Helldorfer had been able to get a room for a live demo. Alas, all we got was a silent audition. The Beanstalk JCK speaker ($2500 per pair) includes the four channel DSP electronic crossover. The JCK has its roots in Siegfried Linkwitz's LX mini, but there is no affiliation between the companies. Furthermore, it does not have a passive crossover, following Siegfried's beliefs it uses an electronic crossover, and requires four channels of amplification. The PVC tube is gone, replaced by a beautiful curved wood cabinet. The tweeter has a true mounting bracket making it suitable and easy to ship.
The baffles on the tweeter allow for some fine tuning, and many clients have produced their own variations. As seen here, we have the version with curved slots. Fortunately, the company is local (Beltsville, MD) so look them up and get an audition at their shop or within your home.
