Filed under the #NotAnotherBlackBox within Enjoy the Music.com's Facebook page is Serene Audio with the Gumby-looking self-powered Talisman ($395) single driver small monitor speakers. Using a 3" long-throw driver, it is said to have a frequency response from 65Hz to 20 kHz (+-3dB), has a 130mW Class AB headphone amplifier and normal stereo headphone jack input.
Serene Audio were also showcasing their prototype powered subwoofer with 8" driver. Both speakers use expansive ultra-low distortion drivers, advanced DSP powered amplification, and the Talisman monitors have a smart subwoofer output.
