AXPONA 2022 Show Report
Ear Gear Experience
I had a nice chat with the guys from iFi Audio. My camera didn't like their bright sign. I've admired their compact components since they first came on the scene.
Joe Perfito from Clarus said to say hello to Steven R. Rochlin. I told Joe I love my Clarus Coda DAC / amplifier which I use with my computer when taking Zoom courses and watching music videos on YouTube.
Jeff Wells of Wells Audio had his tube gear on active display, including the Headtrip ($7500), Commander Level III preamp ($18k), Cipher Tube DAC ($5k), and Headtrip Level II ($15k).
Jeff is seen here with the Looking Glass II ($7500). It was good to reconnect with him after being highly impressed with his complete system presentation at Capital AudioFest last November (2021).
Warwick Acoustics had a solution with this personal listening room. Rumor has it they are working on a mobile version you can take on vacation.
Sunday in general and Sunday Afternoon, in particular, seem to be a good time to avoid the crowds if you want to seriously audition headphones.
Upscale Audio seemed to be busy with the Feliks Audio single-ended triode headphone amps.
Fidelice by Rupert Neve Designs seemed to have rather complex designs.
Hmmm, AD/DA converters from RME for transferring vinyl to digital?
