AXPONA 2022 Show Report
A Brinkman Balance turntable was seen but not heard, and the very expensive Mathew Bond cables were being offered as show samples at a very substantial discount that would have paid for your trip to Axpona from anywhere in the lower 48 States. Unfortunately, it was late in the day and music was not playing. Nor did I remember to revisit the room on Sunday.
As I returned to my room to unload my briefcase and camcorder I caught a glimpse of the lovely Isabeau Corriveau signing one of her CDs for an admirer. Like Anne Bisson, she had made the trip down from Montreal.
Valerio Cora (L) of Acora Acoustics very graciously invited Dr. Andrew Quint (R) of TAS and me to dinner that evening with his sales rep, Scott Sefton (C). The conversation spread to topics beyond our common interest in audio, making it a very enjoyable evening, and very much appreciated.
It was a joyous evening when the staff presented a birthday sparkler to the lovely woman at the next table and broke out with a birthday cheer and applause, which I gleefully joined in. Back at the hotel I dutifully reviewed my photos to ensure my camera was working properly. All was well. I'll be back next week with my coverage of the 1st Floor on Sunday, along with some fun encounters at the Ear Gear Experience and the Expo Hall. Stay tuned!
