Experience Luxman Sound With Triangle Speakers At AXPONA 2018
Luxman America will host two rooms, 580 and 582, at the 2018 AXPONA Show. Luxman will participate in cooperation with Triangle loudspeakers. The main demo system will feature:
"At AXPONA, in addition to our main demo system, we are thrilled to offer the first US demonstration of our new L-509X integrated amplifier," said Jeff Sigmund, President of Luxman America, Inc. "We will always showcase our top-range products, but we also want to demonstrate the depth of Luxman's offerings. The Luxman engineering team continues to push the boundaries of performance and design. The L-509X, and the recently introduced L-505uXII and L-507uXII integrated amplifiers, are excellent examples." The L-509X flagship class AB integrated amplifier features a striking design with the performance of a separate power amplifier and preamplifier in a single enclosure: a simple yet multifunctional system of high-quality, high-power output. The L-509X incorporates Luxman's proprietary technologies including Luxman's Electrically Controlled Ultimate Attenuator (LECUA) 1000 for adjusting the volume with no deterioration of sound quality. The L-509X also includes the latest version, 4.0, of Luxman's Only Distortion Negative Feedback circuit (ODNF), which isolates noise from the music signal and carefully applies negative feedback to suppress only the noise, resulting in an output signal almost perfectly identical to the input signal. The power-supply section's large, independent blocking capacitors for the left and right channels are equivalent to those found in Luxman's flagship M-700u power amplifier, while the discrete buffer circuit is the equivalent of the flagship C-700u preamplifier. This design improves driving power while maintaining the clarity and detail of the original signal.
The L-509X offers a full array of user-friendly functions: a high-quality phono amplifier compatible with moving-magnet and moving-coil cartridges; bass and treble tone controls; L/R balance adjustment controlled by LECUA; preamplifier / power separate function allowing for home theater bypass; and headphone output. The L-509X's stunning new symmetrical front panel is centered around a pair of traditional analog VU meters. The large aluminum knobs for the source selector and volume control are capped with a hairline finish and blasted silver barrels. These perfectly match the blasted silver faceplate while providing a strikingly beautiful contrast. The top panel features distinctive ventilation ports. Luxman will also show, on static display, its recently introduced L-507uXII and L-505uXII Class A/B integrated amplifiers, with new updates: LECUA, ODNF 4.0, and a discrete buffer circuit borrowed from the flagship C-900u preamplifier, to deliver bigger soundstages and faster transient punches. Both new models also feature large-capacity speaker relays that greatly improve damping factor. The L-507uXII also features an enhanced power supply (640VA) and new cast iron insulator feet, to deliver excellent signal/noise ratio, truly dynamic expression, refined power, higher damping factor, and effortless drive of loudspeakers.
Triangle's Magellan Grand Concert loudspeakers required more than 1000 design plans throughout its development stages. It is the culmination of professional craftsmanship and a passionate desire. It represents the very heart and soul of Triangle. Its structure comprises three distinct enclosures designed to ensure elimination of standing waves and vibration. The considerable weight of the loudspeaker (220 lbs.) required the development of the new exclusive Fixocal locking system, which locks the three enclosures together with up to 1.6 tons of clamping pressure.
