On this page will be everything from new tweaks, stands, pictures of folks, and whatever else catches my eye yet doesn't quite fit into the other categories.

Grado RS-2      Grado just announced their new headphones model RS-2. These are very much like their reference RS-1 yet at priced a savings of hundreds of dollars. Specifically, priced at $495 the RS-2 are claimed to be about 90% of the RS-1's yet uses a slightly smaller housing and the heavy duty tweaking used for the RS-1's aren't all included for the RS-2 (yet the RS-2 are still very high quality). Also to save us consumers money the RS-2's aren't sold with a fancy-schmancy box. Just a good quality regular box. Personally, i've never heard the quality of a box, just the goodies it holds :-{)+ .
Western Electric 300B Display      Western Electric is giving us a small little preempting of the 212E tube. They expect to have full production going within about 6-9 months. In the meantime they had this really cool display which shows the building stages of their 300B tube. Also in their room was a killer video of a tube being produced in their facility. Lastly, they are planning on updating their www site monthly with some tasty newsletters. Oh, by the way, i have two matched pair of the WE300B tubes at home. They are absolutely wonderful!!!

Camelot Technology's new Crystal Vision VPS-1 which is a video image enhancer for your TV was shown. This unit has two S-Video and two composite video (RCA plug) inputs. While the S-Video inputs aren't enhanced, this unit does enhance the composite video inputs and them outputs an S-Video to your TV. The enhancement consists of a 2D-adaptive comb filter utilizing proprietary algorithms with 13,000 gate Field Programmable Gate Array Processing. Street pricing is about $549.
