How Did Enjoy the Music.com Originate?
Longtime classically-trained medal-earning musician and high fidelity audio enthusiast Steven R. Rochlin launched Enjoy the Music.com in 1995 as a way to easily answer the many questions he was receiving from others online. Since he grew tired of answering the same basic questions from various people during the very early days of the Internet, when at that time information was scarce, he felt having various common questions and answers on a website was the logical action.

Since day one to today, Steven R. Rochlin is very active in helping guide the many independent journalists to the goals Enjoy the Music.com continues to desire in achieving as the site's Creative Director. His writings and/or photos have appeared, in one form or another, in the following magazines:

Boston Audio Society
Car Stereo Review
C/NET
CompuServe
Gadget World
Hi-Fi News
JAZZIZ
JazzTimes

Rochlin is also, or at one time was, a Member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES), Consumer Electronics Association's Citizen Action Network (CEA CAN), is a member of the Boston Audio Society (BAS), San Francisco Audiophile Society, Los Angeles Audiophile Society, has a Master's Degree from of the Academy Advancing High Performance Audio & Video (AAHPAV), plus an International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA) certified judge. He was also a Member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammy Award organization). His work has been recognized by many authorities within the industry including the President of the Consumer Technology Association (was CEA) and was a member to help guide CEA's high-end audio division.

Rochlin include being a recording engineer and solo artist with the release of his reference-quality drum/percussion album available at www.THTST.com, earning the Driver's Championship in Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Formula 2000 series, medium format camera, mechanical watch enthusiast... plus too much more to mention here.

"As far as my eyes can see
  There are shadows approaching me
And to those I left behind
  I wanted you to know
You've always shared my deepest feelings
  You follow where I go

And ooooh when I'm old and wise
Little words mean little to you
Autumn winds will blow right through me
And someday in the midst of time
When they ask me if I knew you
I'd smile and say you were a friend of mine
And the sadness quickly lifted from my eyes
Oh when I'm old and wise..."

  Lyrics written by Eric Woolfson
  Music performed by Alan Parsons
