T.H.E. Show Newport Beach (The Home Entertainment Show) 2014 Report
T.H.E. Show Newport Beach 2014
The Home Entertainment Show Report, Part 2

Dana Cables just released the Diamond and Diamond Reference 4 GA speaker cable $4250 and $5250 2-meter. See this month’s Enjoy the Music.com review of the Dana Cable's braided Onyx speaker cables at this link.

Chad Kassem of Acoustic Sounds is rockin' with their pressing plant. Peter, Paul and Mary's 1700 vinyl LP 200 gram vinyl.

TAD speakers and Concert Fidelity teamed up here at T.H.E. Show 2014 in Newport Beach. The result? Auralicious! Concert Fidelity had their ZL-200 monoblocks, CF-080LSX2 tube hybrid pre, DAC-040 BD (battery powered) DAC and SPA-4C MC phonostage. The TAD Reference One speakers and Z-Axis Audio Mirage audio system also made a good showing in this room.

Kiseki’s new Blue NS and Purple Heart NS MC cartridges (~$2500 and ~$3200 respectively) are legendary in their historic provenance of the original types. Today, they are made in the same tradition and value, yet with consistency as they uphold the most-loved status with a lineage that is highly regarded. These are made in limited production so act fast if you want one for your very own analog rig.

PrimaLuna's new DiaLogue Premium power amp ($3199) has an innovative auto-bias system where this is a true auto-bias system. While auto-bias is typically cathode-bias based, their systems uses a full circuit board that monitors each tube for different parameters and adjusts them in real time. To demo this they used an EL34 with three KT150 and it worked just fine. You can operate the amp in stereo or mono configuration.

The LA and OC Audio Society hospitality suite give a place of rest for the hard-working souls who make this show such a tremendous success.

Pass Labs XS300 were mated to Raidho Details floorstanders. Pass Lab’s XS300 produce a staggering 300 wpc into 8 Ohms and 600 into 4 Ohms. Do i really need to tell you how sweet well this room sounded? Just sit back and imagine.. Well, you should have been here at T.H.E. Show 2014 in Newport Beach. That's all i'm going to say.

Positive Feedback’s hospitality room was where none other than the King, the Man, the Myth… Dr. David Robinson. He was all smiles as quad DSD music was joyfully singing out of the MBL speakers. Amplification was by exeSound and the DAC was the impressive exeSound e28. They were playing phenomenal-sounding quad DSD!.

Snake River Audio's cool cable display. This company always seems to make a great showing and well worth checking out.
